shofar has meaningful use in the judaism,it’s a mitzvah to play the shofar in Rosh Hashana like it say in the bible (numbers chapter 29):
“And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have a holy convocation: ye shall do no manner of servile work; it is a day of blowing the horn unto you.”
It is also a mitzava to blow the shofar at the conclusion of Yom Kippur after closing prayer.
some say that blowing a shofar make them feel having a spiritual experience that make them closer to our lord.
shofar has other uses, in the old days the loud sound of the shofar was use a sign to warn the people or as a battle calling call .
